Have fun...
Seriously though, the only real thing I can offer is if it's pretty dirty under there to make sure to thoroughly degrease it and remove all undercoatings and such before taking a grinder or sanding disc to it. You'll just load up the paper/brush and smear it around and go through paper like crazy if you don't.
Also, I hope you have a rotisserie, because even on a lift it sucks balls. Shit will get in your face and your neck and shoulders will hate you afterward. On your back under jackstands might be slightly more comfortable, but I hope you have a mask on of some sort because you'll get more shit in your face than you can imagine. :)
have it media blasted
Oh and personally, I would spray a couple coats of the chassis saver rather than brush it if there's any rust you're sealing. I personally feel it gets in all the cracks/crevices/pits better that way and seals it more thoroughly.
Yeah, honestly if it were me building a car as nice as yours and there was any rust at all under there, that's what I would do too
rays radiator over in warren does very reasonably priced mdeia blasting.
Reiko call me and i'll give ya a tip or two
Thanks for all the responses guys... Honestly I really don't want to media blast it... I want to do it myself and learn...
Carl I'll text/BBM you later...
i did just a frame with cookies and a little stuff. That sucked. Media blasting would be faster, better and possible even cheaper depending on how cheap you get supplies
Reiko i know the feeling of wanting to do it yourself, But I can almost guarentee if you do.. Before your done with the project you will say to yourself "damn, I wish I would just got this media blasted."
