    Default Air Compressor Recommendations

I'm looking to pickup a new air compressor probably this week. Nothing huge or super pricey, its just for home. Any recommendations or stuff I should stay away from? Probably looking in the 20-30 gallon range.

    Thanks

Make sure you don't get a oil less.

I know most people will disagree with me but, My craftsman 30 gallon is about 6 years old never gave me an issue and my dad has a similar unit about 8 years old. Depends on what you need to do with it.

Get one of the belt driven ones, you can actually talk over them when they're on.

Go with the Craftsman 30 gal.

I have a Craftsman 30 gallon upright, bought it on CL for like $150 in like new condtion. Has powered my impacts, air drills, grinders, DA sanders, Air hammer just fine and have had it run for hours at a time with no problems. Yeah its noisy, but gets the job done

It all depends on what you plan to do with your air compressor. What are the CFM requirements of the tools you plan to run, etc. Those craftsman ones can be loud. If you are OK with that, then it sounds like they work fairly well. Now I opted for the belt drive 80 gal monster to handle anything I could ever throw at it.
