Update: I was able to get the motor pulled over the weekend and the outcome is about the best case scenario! It simply lifted the head gasket between cylinders 6, 7 and 8.

I'm going to drop off the heads to Superior and have them milled, valve job and springs checked. I'm also going to replace the motor mounts as they seem completley worn out. I also plan to send off the hot parts to QC Coatings for a freshin up as well as a trip to Tyler Crockets to flow the injectors.

Thanks, but the prothane mounts sit about 3/4" higher than the enery ones. I'm gonna try stock convertible mounts and if they don't work then I will try solid.

Got solid mounts.....gonna give them a try.

I'm planning to take the heads out to Tyler Crockets. He has an injector flow bench so I can kill two birds with one stone.

Fryguy has a set of FelPro MLS's 1134 (which are the 4.180 bore) so not exactly what I wanted.... but too good of a deal to pass up.

Got the headers and crossover off to drop off at QC Coatings for a freshin up.

yes, JBA headers flipped with v-bands welded on.

Here is what they looked like 6-years ago when I built the car.

Went out to Tyler Crockett's to drop off the heads to have them freshened and flow the injectors to make sure they weren't the cause of the blown HG.

the injectors all checked out OK.
