i bet the crank is bent

Among other problems. A stock cast crank that has spun #5 had the weight of the flywheel and clutch assembly swinging around is probably not worth saving.

I know I'm just a friggin' ray of sunshine here, but I don't want to see anyone throw time, effort, and money into something that isn't going to get fixed.

I almost bought this car 3-4 years ago for $6500, it had the same problem then and I politely bowed out of the deal.......
