    Default historical plates now legal for memorial day to labor day law passed

    I know everyone would drive on them more than legal.

    but now you have a bigger window!

    It is my understanding that you can drive it to a car show...

    With that, I'm going to a car show at Home Depot, Culver's, and Macy's and show the parking lot my rustbucket. Then maybe on the way home stop at the park to show the ducks my fine automobile.

    That was the old rule, the updated one is:
    Sec. 20a. “Historic vehicle” means a vehicle that is over 25 years old and that is owned solely as a collector’s item and for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses, including mechanical testing, but is not used for general transportation. For purposes of this section, use of the vehicle during the period from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day each year is considered an exhibition.

    so going by that, if there is a club activity, tour, parade, etc., you can still drive it outside the dates given, but that the entire Memorial Day through Labor Day period is fair game as its considered an exhibition" in its entirety

    we got a lawyer in house to go over my interpretation?
