Yes this is good news and it is a long process, I got my offer and it took a month for hr to process everything and give me a start date. Where will you be at? I'm at the tech center.

this is what I did, after the phone interview they sent me an email saying I was selected to move forward and wanted More info. Gave them what they asked for and have not heard back. I have been talking to my recruiter still though. Who knows, I'm loosing faith lol.
this was for a internship though. But I think process is the same.
You'll get a call if you got the more info email. I applied last June, got a more info email in late July . Then in the middle of August I got called for an interview . Got a verbal offer and then it was 2 weeks before I got a written offer and then they finally had me start about sept 26th.
I just got done going through the entire process and was offered a job at the tech center CTC. It is a salaried bargaining unit position. which means i will be direct but considered to be a tempory. insurance don't start for 8 mouths and don't know about the vacations. They made me a very fare offer and my company match it and i have 3 weeks vacation and a 10% bouns. So i think i am staying at my current company. I hope i made the right decsion but i was scared about the tempory status. Does anyone know anything about this?
im not sure of location yet,im currently a union millwright with an outside local so it will be a pay cut for sure but im lookin for stability right now with one kid and one on the way,and my wife is going to start nursing school soon so she is gonna have to quit her job to do that.i was thinkin I could get in and then apply for a skilled trades position once im in the system.
I don't miss the auto industry one bit.
