Default What is this 2 stroke bike?

A guy has been asking me to sell it to him but I have no idea what it is worth.
All I know about it is it is a 50cc 2 stroke with fresh engine that has a bunch of "speed parts" in it. Automatic transmission. Built by some pro-racer type out of Metamora. It is pretty damn fast too. I would guess it does 35-40????

My uncle gave it to me for some plumbing work I did.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Looks to be a Polini. With the use on it I'm guessing $1,300. Those things are pocket rockets! I can't tell much but it does have an FMF pipe on it. I raced 9 years and all 9 that's all I'd run on my bike. They are the same bikes that go up against the KTM 50's. A whole new class over the Yamaha and Honda 50's. Would make a great starter bike as long as your kid knows to take it slow at first. Would make a great pit bike too.

That is one of Matt Crown's son's (Joey Crown) old bikes. (MCR suspension) out of Metamora. It's actually a Cobra 50. And that bike has a butt load of work done to it. And would not be a great starter bike, or pit bike.

P.S. It is worth every penny of $1,300.

yeah Cobra, had a brain fart. I didn't know it had all that work to it. I thought it was just a pipe. My little cousin learned on a Cobra and never had a problem. It depends on the kid. If you have to start on a PW50 and have a problem then you probably shouldn't be on a bike in the first place.

Yup, Matt Crown was it. I don't know much about these things. My uncles kids outgrew it, now I own it. I've only ridden it around the block a few times.

    Anyone want it????
